Postition type: 60% (3 days per week) for the period April - October 2026.

Location: In-house
Working hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00-16:00 (30 minutes lunch break is included)


Join the WIP Arts & Technology Festival 2026 team and make an important contribution to a festival that is becoming an annual reference point for scientists and creatives experimenting at the intersection of Arts, Science and Technology. 

 

WIP will be hosting experiences and presenting media artworks, performances, research projects, talks, workshops, screenings, and interactive games from invited local and visiting artists, universities, organizations, and CYENS. 

 

WIP (Work in Progress) Festival is an ever-evolving series of activities and exhibitions focused on arts & technology synergies. Organized by CYENS CoE, the festival is breaking new ground in the East Mediterranean.  Last year's festival was a big success, attracting more than 7,000 visitors. 

 

This year’s festival is expanding; We are looking for an energetic and enthusiastic Festival Administration Officer.  The festival administration will be working closely with the Festival core team, helping with day-to-day administration tasks  


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & REQUIREMENTS 

  • Handle filing 
  • Communication with artists, respond to enquiries
  • Prepare and send invitations for events
  • Facilitate event proceedings (parallel events, networking event, opening party) 
  • Reporting
  • Service agreements
  • Volunteers ROTA and monitoring
  • Screen appropriately and professionally telephone calls,enquiriesand requests, as well as manage incoming and outgoing communication when needed
  • Monitor the mail correspondence from WIP email.
  • Identification of vendorsand catering

 

Note: All tasks and activities will be priorly discussed with the core team of the festival

General qualifications and requirements

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE 

  • PC and Microsoft Office proficiency
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational skills. 
  • Demonstrate good understanding of a makerspace operation. 
  • Ability to work independentlyandconsistentwith deadlines.
  • Language requirements: Excellent written and oral English-language skills will be required.
  • Knowledge of Greek language will be considered an advantage. 
  • Experience working within the arts / cultural / creative sector will be considered an advantage.
